Wunderkeys Pop 2: Strong Will and Broken Inversions

 

Strong Will in A Major in Wunderkeys Intermediate Pop 2 Performance Book begins with a variation of A Major Broken inversions. 

Technique

Watch Pianote Tips for Practicing Chord Inversions. Her first example is in D Major which has the similar "hamburger shape" as A Major that is used in the piece "Strong Will."

• Practice right hand A Major inversions as blocked chords first (measures 1 & 2) carefully following the fingering for the extended chord in measure 2 that is unlike a typical A major 2nd inversion chord.
