Arranging Music from a Lead Sheet

Activity #1 Pop Song Composing Borrowing Chords
Create a pop-style song using the same chord progression as Greensleeves.
Choose your own melody using notes from the a minor scale and include some syncopated rhythms.
Play repeating bass notes or fifths in the left hand for a pop.
Play at a faster pace than the traditional Greensleeves song.
Activity #2 Arranging with Chord Colors
Watch this video about Suspended chords (Sus2 or Sus4) and then follow the steps in Puzzle Play 1 page 21 to create your own arrangement of Greensleeves that includes "Add 2" Chords or play "It is Well with my Soul"(free lead sheet on Pianosongdownload.com including Sus chords).
