Piano Adventures 1: 2 Note March and Tonic/Dominant

 This post includes lesson plans for "2 Note March" in Piano Adventures 1.



Music Sample

Listen to Two Note March as you sing the words of the song, and then sing and sign the solfa (So, So, So, So, So, Do, Do, etc. ).




Theory

Watch the Tonic and Dominant Video.Then color tonic (do)notes in your music red and the dominant (sol) notes yellow.



Supplementary Music

"Tonic up to Dominant then open 5th. (Major Pentascale + 5th)
Drop 3 half steps lower for the relative. (Relative Minor Pentascale + 5th)
Major with a flatted 3rd is Parallel. (Parallel Minor Pentascale + 5th)
Climbing up the octave scale to end it well." (1 8va Scale + Do, So Do)
